hi folks!! LONG log today, lots of very exciting things happened >:) (being published a few days later bc i twas too busy with work!)

5/4/22

nothing eventful for today! i did play tamagotchi corner store 2 & 3 for a bit and had fun :) i didn't get very far due to it running really horribly.. but it was nice to revisit! i played the trio to death as a kid.

BIG day!!! last week (?) i had ordered a tama bundle that was INSANELY cheap - so cheap i was scared to talk about it jic it was a scam LOL. but today it arrived and it was anything but a scam!! everything was packaged fantastically and was in great condition. :) in total, i bought a keitai, an entama, a p1 mini, and an original digimon. (i believe, i'm not well versed enough to tell the difference from the ogs and the remakes.. but based on mine using lr44s i'd think it's an original?) i'm SO excited about the entama, i've wanted one for YEARS! the rest i'm also very very excited about but that one is definitely the star of the show for me. this brings my tama total up to 9!! :) i'd love to get more vintages when i can, since my collection is mostly connection-era based.

(there's a bigger photo of my collection on my tamagotchi page!

while testing all the new tamas out, i noticed the entama and keitai had the option to download the previous tama! i always like to do so, just to see what was there. for the entama, there was a kuchibotchi which i didn’t grab the name of, and on the keitai, a hinatchi named sun! just a sun emoji. i didn't catch any other stats for either.. i was still trying to figure out the menus. which speaking of, are a little harder than i anticipated to grasp!! especially the entamas mail option - i was so surprised to see it had text for the mail, and a lot of it!! on the v4.5, it's all symbols. even once i get the rest of the menus down, i don't think i'll ever get the mail, seeing as i know 0 japanese and can't translate the hiragana fast enough.

at 2:53pm, i decided to start with running my mini! i figured it'd be a good choice to start off with, considering how simple it is. and omg, i know the name is a tell of the size, but the mini is truly TINY. the screen is the size of my thumbnail!! it hatched within a minute, and turned into a little marutchi :) i read online that it stays in that stage for 24 hours and skips the baby stage! i can confirm the second half, i filled its hungry and happy meters and didn't have any calls or signs of them emptying for hours. unfortunately, a couple hours after starting my mini, i took the batteries back out to focus on running my keitai (which i'll very shortly document)! running 3 tamas, even though the mini is more like 1/2 of a tam, was too much for me LOL. i did get a couple of photos before turning it off, though! :)

SO, instead, at 4:13pm i started my first ever keitai! it hatched into a little shiropuchitchi girl, who i named haruka with the help of google. :) the baby stage went about as i expected for a connection tama, although some of the details were different! i'm unused to having 4 different types of meals and snacks the babies can eat - usually i feel like they'll only eat one option (usually milk or bread), and unlock more as they grow!! haruka was unphased though, and gummed down many onigiris, hot dogs, whole fish, and plates of curry as she was growing. :) i only fed her snacks a few times.. i can't figure out what the first one is! it looks like some kind of wrapper.. but instead of eating it normal, she'd just eat the wrapped and leave behind a little ball! i'll have to do more digging, ik Someones gotta have the answer LOL. (note: i've figured out what this is by the time i'm publishing)

in her one hour baby stage, she got sick once at 4:24pm, took a nap at 4:45pm (and also pooed about 3 seconds before, forcing me to let her sleep next to poo), and called for praise at 4:55pm! unfortunately, i did Not remember the order for scold/praise so i ended up scolding her by accident :(... and then at 5:15pm she changed into the toddler stage as a hitodetchi and was given 100g! :) which from my understanding is a guarantee for the first generation, but i don't mind at all. her c button animations were very cute for both her baby and toddler stage - shiropuchitchi doing a little dance before falling on her face and crying (poor thing!), and hitodetchi singing a little song! also during haruka's baby stage, pasta ran out of batteries! i replaced them once she was a toddler.. i was so stressed out trying to manage both so i was kind of grateful LOL.

to talk about pasta for a minute, not a whole lot happened with him today! most of the excitement happens during the baby-teen stage LOL. he did change his character room for a bit today into the performance one! i've only seen lovelitchis performance room before, and that one was a stage.. kind of a given for an idol. but pasta's was a little workout room, it was so cute!!! he went back to cooking later that evening, but i still grabbed a picture. :) as a side note - the pix's battery life really is as bad as everyone says it is, LOL. i've never made it to a week without recharging, even without heavy use/screen as dim as it'll go/no sound. apparently it's a problem unique to the earlier versions of the pink/purple pix, i'm glad it got fixed!! i don't mind it too terribly much, but it does get annoying.

also a very quick first impression of this keitai - i really like i so far!! the buttons on my tama are HEAVENLY. almost clicky!! my eng connections are definitely a lot mushier in comparison. (the absolute worst offender is my music star.. it came out of the package with mushy, unresponsive buttons :( ) i love the shell a Lot, it's nearly in perfect condition, and its just really cute in general!! this is a tama that will absolutely Not be coming with me anywhere.. i have no proper case for it (and no crochet skills OR money) and i'm wayyy too scared of scuffing it up to risk anything. thankfully i'm not out for long periods of time very often.. and i don't mind pausing. :) i'm enjoying the gameplay so far as well, i'm having fun figuring out the little quirks to it! i think overall this probably won't be one of my favorite tamas purely because of the limited amount of characters.. but i'm just enjoying it for what it is, for now! :)

both pasta and haruka went to bed at 8pm, and i followed soon after. zzz...

5/6/22

i had a rough morning so i didn't get to check on my tamas till 10am! haruka suffered the worst from it, she sat in her own poo and got sick :( pasta also did but he was okay with it i guess. both were doing fairly good on happy/hungry though, thankfully!

at 11am, the traveling merchant came to haruka! ojitchi (the merchant) offered her a balloon toy for 350g.. which i would've liked to buy! but i wasn't sure how much money she had and also didn't know which option was which LOL. so i sent him away.. which i kind of regret now, because she Did have enough to buy it. oh well. i also finished trying out all the games around this time, and i think the catching game is solidly my favorite! it reminds me a lot of the banker game from my v4.5, which i loved. :) second would be basketball, i just wish it'd go a little faster. my least favorite and the one i still don't quite understand is the race one... i've won it both times, but i'm not sure if i interact at all or if i'm just placing bets! and it only gives 30g compared to the up to 200g the others do AND doesn't seem to give any happy hearts.. i'll pass.

i then praised and scolded her twice that afternoon before the merchant came again at 5pm, this time with a squid! it was 700g which i could definitely not afford, so i passed again. at the same time, pasta got a visit from daikutchi!! they visited for a bit before daikutchi left. :) shortly after those events, at 5:15pm, haruka evolved into a ringotchi!! which is the best care teen for this generation :) i read that getting the best score in the catch/basketball game can reverse care mistakes.. i wonder if that happened? or maybe the sickness was countered by the relatively good care i took of her otherwise? i have a lot to figure out with this one!! :) she's extremely cute, so i have no complaints regardless!!

haruka as a ringotchi! she's an apple with stick arms and legs.

at 6:15pm haruka was beeping and had her back turned to me.. so i THOUGHT this was a call for scolding!! turns out, after checking her meters after, somehow she was completely out of hungry hearts?? i know i for sure filled it not too long before, along with the happy hearts.. and the happy hearts had only dropped by 1!! genuinely not sure what happened there.. but instead of trying to reverse it (still unsure if true) by winning the basketball game, i'm leaving it and seeing what happens! later that hour i caught her brushing her teeth, which was SO cute!! i didn't realize how much i missed this feature, it's such a cute detail!

after 7pm, pasta beeped at me asking to go out to eat! so i happily obliged, as i was almost certainly going to do that anyway, and took him to the restaurant for some gratin, his favorite. :) i like the cooking picture feature gimmick.. but i struggle to actually make meals and not just snacks! and i have a hard time getting any other color than black/red without using special images.. so it's just easier to hit up the restaurant or order delivery LOL. besides this and the friend visit earlier, he's been pretty chill today! he's 5 now, so he should be leaving within the next few days.. and since our friendship level is Still at "friends", there's no chance i'd get it to best friends before he left. which i'm totally okay with, i like keeping the generations going!

both went to sleep at 8pm, but due to my later wakeup today, i won't be following as closely behind! let's hope my schedule stays decent… if haruka changed into a teen today (aged 2), i wonder when she'll turn into an adult? :) i'm assuming age 4-ish.. but it's been a while since i've raised any kind of connection, so it's a bit of a surprise!!
